We've been pushing our little Shebeen wheelbarrow slowly uphill, blinking into the sun through the summer and head down against the Melbourne winter winds. We've been ducking in to check out potential Shebeen venues, chatting with our favourite owners and occasionally rolling off to a music festival (for inspiration, obviously).
We're getting so excited we can almost taste Shebeen. Luckily for us, the Shebeen wheelbarrow is stocked full of exotic brews.
Don't despair oh thirsty ones, we've got some for you too!
The crew at Rice Queen on Smith Street are now selling our Vietnamese beer, Huda - the perfect accompaniment to their tasty Asian fare. All the profits from Huda sales go back into the Shebeen bank, helping us to serve you sooner.
Their big sister upstairs, Panama Dining Room, has also added Negra Modelo to their impressive beer collection. So get in there and suck one down. Oh yes.
Still thirsty? Head into the city where Madame Brussels are selling our Ethiopian beer, St. George. The weather's looking pretty good for a balcony beer don't you think?
See? There's plenty of ways to get a taste of Shebeen while you wait for whispers of our opening. And oh boy, it's coming. Soon(ish).
